She has served as lead counsel in numerous cases, defending clients against FELA claims, FRSA whistle-blower suits, grade-crossing disputes, and labor-related litigation in both state and federal courts. Sarah’s track record includes securing defense verdicts in high-stakes, admitted-liability cases and resolving hundreds of disputes through summary judgments, private mediations, and judicial settlement conferences.   

Field Experience-Based Litigation

Sarah’s collaborative approach to litigation ensures her clients remain well-informed and equipped for thoughtful, joint decision-making. By investing meaningful time and energy to learning the facts of and mechanism of alleged injury in each case, Sarah enhances her ability to present a well-prepared and convincing defense.  This thorough preparation contributes to her success in connecting with juries and earning their trust.     

Sarah also serves in an advisory role for short line clients who need occasional assistance with wide-ranging issues, from HR consulting to right-of-way disputes with local municipalities.  She serves as local counsel to several railroad and non-railroad clients and is available to consult with railroads in any state regarding employee injury claims or FRSA retaliation claims.  She is open to non-traditional fee structures, including flat fee arrangements.  She is also actively working on growing her railroad practice and would enjoy the opportunity to speak to established railroad attorneys with diverse areas of expertise who may have an interest in joining her team.

Beyond the Law

Outside of work, Sarah enjoys arranging flowers, decorating, antiquing, and spending time with her family.
