WHY MEDIATION?
Mediation is a well-recognized process for guiding litigants to a mutually-agreeable resolution. It is often the best opportunity for the parties to a dispute to take control of their destiny, avoid the uncertainties of trial, and eliminate further litigation time and expense.
Mediators do not decide a case, determine a “winner” or “loser,” or render any judgments. Instead, they act as neutrals to facilitate a reasonable and practical discussion between the opposing parties and their attorneys, explore creative solutions, and encourage a compromised solution.
SLS Group proudly offers parties involved in a dispute the chance to work with registered and experienced mediators for resolution of business/civil law or family law matters.
CIVIL MEDIATION
At least 90% of business/civil law disputes settle before trial. SLS Group’s experienced mediators can facilitate that process considerably by guiding the parties and their attorneys through a reasonable discussion about the pros and cons, expected costs and expenses, time requirements, uncertainties, and emotional toll of continuing litigation.
Tom Brodnik and Erik Johnson are Indiana Registered Civil Mediators. Both have many years of business/civil litigation experience and can credibly discuss the potential outcomes of civil trials. They are prepared to resolve matters including, among other categories:
